But the voice of Robbie Benson.... oh yeah.

BTW, I mentioned you for an award on my blog: http://crowriverwriter.blogspot.com/2011/09/catching-up-and-awards.html

Have a great week!
SaraSara Birenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07145282752899219240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-42497033665047407762011-09-24T10:58:29.442-06:002011-09-24T10:58:29.442-06:00Thank you for posting this, Jenna. I SO agree. Wit...Thank you for posting this, Jenna. I SO agree. With, like, Everything. What I loved about Peeta had nothing to do with the way he looked, but the way he acted. THAT is what made him a compelling character, someone to root for. And, as far as looks did go, I loved that he was average, because I actually KNOW average looking fellas with great hearts. I get so frustrated with hot-guys-in-books, sometimes. Especially when this sixteen or seventeen-year-old boy is supposed to look like a professional athlete in his twenties. It's not impossible, but it's not common, and unless there's a winning personality to go along with the hot bod, not the sort of person I would even feel comfortable around in real life.

(And I also agree that Christine made the right choice in Phantom of the Opera. I appreciated the Phantom, but even at his "hottest," he was still a skeevy old stalker who killed people. Nuff said.)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02708904894566620939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-23261667141315053602011-09-23T07:12:14.156-06:002011-09-23T07:12:14.156-06:00It's gotten to the point that, If there's ...It's gotten to the point that, If there's a detailed description of a gorgeous guy in the book, I'm turned off. In fact too much detailed description of any character gets in my way. I want to BE those characters and make up my mind on their attractiveness by their actions. Unless being ugly or beautiful is integral to the story, it's gratuitous!Alex Villasantehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17109677049281615295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-16751702098900819412011-09-22T20:19:57.540-06:002011-09-22T20:19:57.540-06:00I agree that personality trumps looks. Then she ends up with a guy who's average-looking but with a great personality. :)Ghenet Myrthilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12621168379560585094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-89055409634097002672011-09-22T17:58:58.685-06:002011-09-22T17:58:58.685-06:00I totally agree, I think I fell for the Beast befo...I totally agree, I think I fell for the Beast before he become a handsome man. I like the rugged character. And I think Christine made a choice to pick Raoul too. The Phantom sings well, but his personality is a little too creepy for me.

I love that we should make our male characters be loved in our stories, ugly or handsome.

Great post!Krista McLaughlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09230770035490273428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-23350087818723226822011-09-22T17:01:55.782-06:002011-09-22T17:01:55.782-06:00I love the personality of guy characters. I mean, it's not like you see them, anyway... if you wanted to, you could probably imagine that the character was better-looking than he's described as. ;)Alyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02127447015151066065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-31773075179705337092011-09-22T15:30:10.291-06:002011-09-22T15:30:10.291-06:00I'm sort of glad you put this out here. He's sort of short, scrawny and is a scrapper.

Thanks so much.Angela Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03324366495151363782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689413217576282494.post-79252010201936532772011-09-22T10:49:11.972-06:002011-09-22T10:49:11.972-06:00Ahhhh Peeta, I loved him so much!
